Karen's Space

iteration 5
reflections can be wet painter.through research and experiment, reflections of the images are mostly blurry, and using more then one reflections in photography can create this blurry confusing feeling. Can you count how many glasses I used in this shot? and how many reflections captured?

The answer is only 2 glasses, but there’s three reflections, and one object in this shot.
through these reflections, one shot can create overlaying images without using Photoshop and also created the soft, blurry like water painting feeling in photograph.( No editing in this photo)

trials and failure.
the light was too bright, reflections were not strong enough.
Learnt
the material of the reflector is important, can’t be too dull, can’t be too clear. also the light can’t be too bright, or else can’t create more then one reflection overlay at one shot.

by Mona Kuhn, a photographer.
Got the idea from her to use glasses and reflections to create the overlay and soften feeling in one shot.

Iteration 4

Using drawing to express the concept of reflections on words in mind. This drawing don’t really have a very deep meaning, but just simplify how the words reflects in peoples’ (that English is not their first language ) mind.
If u know both languages in the drawing, just imagine you only know how to read Chinese, therefore when “R-e-f-l-e-c-t-i-o-n” it’s clearly written, but the meaning of the word in Chinese is clearer than the “R-e-f-l-e-c-t-i-o-n” in mind

Sound Reflections
Iteration 3

Reflections of Sounds

recorded few audio of reflection of sounds, but sounds that reflected back it’s not really clear, so I edited a bit, make it looping and repeating to show the reflections better.

through this experiment we can hear the reflections of sounds often creates a dreamy, soft feelings. Like no matter how hard I jump on the floor, the reflections will blur out the shocking sounds.

Iteration 2

Through experiment of using reflections to create shapes and patterns, think that while we read words from reflections of them, we took a second or more to realise the words, and here is expressing the feeling of confusion of the reflection of words, and also use the pattern to strength the feeling of being amused by reading the words successfully from reflections.
